I just love this flower. I took this picture at the Chicago Botanic Gardens shortly before I was leaving for the day, and the sunlight hit it just right to make it glow. I love it when the sun sets things aglow. That’s my favorite time of day too, that time just before the sun starts its decline and everything is bathed in gold. I got this bead a long time ago and found it when I was organizing my beads. It just seemed perfectly suited for a cuff-type bracelet based on it’s shape, so I let that be my guide and inspiration. The texture and color of this bead is just amazing. It changes with movement and sunlight. Additionally, I like things that are elegant and sometimes understated. Lately, my creative juices have been running a little dry for jewelry making. Maybe it’s because I have a lot on my mind, maybe because I have a lot of work, or maybe because I’m working on a few other project.
